LGSF: The future of the Czech construction industry
The last few years have not been a walk in the park for the Czech construction industry, despite this, the sector has recorded a 4% year-on-year growth in 2023. This positive trend is a clear signal that the Czech construction industry is ready for a revolutionary change in the form of Auklan thin-walled steel structures.
Although LGSF (Light-gauge Steel Framing) technology is still unknown in the Czech Republic, this method has been used abroad for decades, mainly due to the significant reduction in the need for manual labour, the acceleration of the construction process and the emphasis on sustainable construction. All these aspects can be attributed to systematic automation and digitalisation, which greatly contributes to speeding up all processes and minimising human error.
Auklan's thin-walled steel structures are manufactured using software tools and robotic systems that ensure maximum precision and quality of the steel profiles. Additional costs for waste or retrofitting, which are common in traditionally constructed buildings, are quite minimal in this case, thus significantly speeding up the construction process.
At first glance, steel construction and sustainability are not words often associated with each other, but the opposite is true. Steel is one of the materials that can be easily recycled, which is why Auklan often manufactures its thin-walled steel structures from green steel. In addition, thanks to the precision of LGSF technology, there is no unwanted waste being created to further pollute our planet. The extensive possibilities of LGSF technology open up a truly large portfolio of possibilities for the use of these structures in various areas of construction, such as houses, halls, garages or structures for PV plants.
